In this spectrum analyzer the user manual mentions a setup menu where several functions can be tested to ascertain that the instrument is working. One particular test, the cal test, puts out an 80MHz test signal to show up in the display and confirm that the frequency is correct. But, nowhere can I find any mention of the output signal level in dBm as shown on the display!! Spectrum analyzers measure frequency and signal level. I am seeing a level of -50 dBm, and would like to ascertain that this is the correct measurement. Can anyone affirm this? I would like to confirm that this instrument is working up to spec, especially the attenuation.
