Title: Is it possible to test the 200mhz hantek hack via uart before modifying flash?

Since my Hantek DSO5102P is coming fresh off the factory production line, I'd like to minimize the risk of bricking it, by opening it and testing the 200mhz hack via the uart first, without touching the flash/Tools_P_models.zip.

Has anyone tried testing the 200mhz change via uart only?   Or is it something that only works if you do the flash folder name change ( /dst1102b to /dst1202b)
