| Is my Siglent 1032 Defective??? |

I wasted today trying to align an FM radio. But my sweeps made no sense. Finally, I decided to check the output of the Siglent against my TinySA. Below are pics of the setup and the screenshots of when I trigger off the Siglent and then the TinySA. I also took pics of the TinySA setting and the Siglent setting. The Setup shows before I set both to 20ms sweep time. The trace of the TIny SA breathes as expected. The trace produced by the Siglent is hash with no evidence of "breathing". Before I call Siglent, I would like to ensuure It is not me being me. Output 1 and Output 2 produce the same result. While I was trying to use 10.7MHz, you can see these sweeps are set for 100KHz. I corrected the setup picture. THANKS!! |

Use a Burst setting also for the sweep. |

I think I understand why you wanted me to test Burst Mode. The trace of N cycles jumps right to left. The trace is clear at 10KHz and 10MHz, but it will not lock. I can tell myself this is very similar to what I see in the Sweep function. Regards, Dewey (Could not let it rest) |

I believe you have some settings incorrect......I look at your screenshots and everything is AC coupled, why ? I haven't got a SDG1032X to test so used my SDG6022X that has the same functionality albeit to much higher frequencies. Sweep 10-100 kHz over a set duration. |
