Is This Serious ? Where Does this Equipment Come From !!
« on: June 12, 2013, 08:01:18 pm »
A picture saves a thousand words, or so it's said... just wondering about this E-Bay seller, from Israel;  :-BROKE

I'm puzzled about the duff equipment this seller seems to sell, typical example below:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Wavetek-271-Digital-Programmable-Pulse-Function-Signal-Generator-/150945889024?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item2325137b00

I have purchased from that seller. He often lists RF equipment. Alot of it appears Military surplus. I've even seen stuff with bullet holes in it.

many people or out of business or retired companies throw in the trash old equipment, recyclers sell it to electronic collectors & resellers, and they resell it again.
haven´ t heard, some ones trash is someones else treasure?

in my country there is a whole shopping mall of vintage electronics + a museum filled with old stuff, mostly unknown equipment, or not the ones i want,
crazy stuff i´ve seen there, from Geiger counters to x-ray tubes, to am radio frequency generators, photo cameras, video & film, vintage oscilloscopes, damaged ramsa consoles, reel to reel stuff mostly sony, hp generators, etc...
it was aired in some tv show/chapter in Discovery Channel or NatGeo can´t remember.

i´ve seen trash quality imacon 848 on ebay for $4000usd., like new ones sell for $6000usd., did it sold? i guess not.

There's a whole thread on here about some of the STM stuff. The one listed by the OP looks fairly good in comparison to some of the stuff they sell.
