| ISO: Economical Data Logging Multi-Meter |
| (1/1) |
| WA2SQQ:
I'm looking for an economical replacement for my Radio Shack 22-805 multi meter which cme with data logging software. Looking for a replacement that uses a USB that offers a USB interface, and software that will allow me to set the sample times and duration. Export to an Excel spread sheet would be desired. Everything I'm finding is >$250 US. |

For software look at TestController: https://lygte-info.dk/project/TestControllerIntro%20UK.html It works with a lot of multimeters and can export to CSV files, but in most cases there is not reason to use Excel, because you can view and process data in the software. Brymen have some multimeters below $250, even with the computer interface (It is always extra). |

I think the popular UT-61 (various versions) can do it. If you just need voltage logging you might also want to research standalone daq devices (data loggers) that might be more convenient if you don’t want to tie it to a computer for hours/days. I don’t think this example is that great but it shows what I mean. https://www.measurementsystems.co.uk/docs/mc/USB-503-datasheet.pdf Or make your own solution using Arduino GPIO etc. |
