Title: ISO-Tech LCR-1701 teardown and review
Post by: Deckert on November 27, 2015, 08:15:27 am
Hi guys,

After some thought and research on which handheld LCR meter to get, I finally settled on the ISO-Tech LCR-1701 meter. I had a look at the DER EE DE-5000, but after shipping and duties into South Africa it would have cost a lot more than the one I got from RS.

I did a teardown and review of the meter here, for what it's worth:

Measures up to 20mF, but more importantly down to 10fF and has a 1 milli-ohm resolution on the resistance scale.

Note that it's an OEM from Appa (the Appa-701). It is also distributed by GWinstek as the LCR-915.
