Guys, are you satisfied with VPO? Please watch linked video. It's a simple 1kHz sine from my noisy analog function generator. I change the time base during the video after I pressed the default button and the autoset button. By pressing 'Default' button scope will switch to - vector mode - 240ms persistence - 50% waveform intensity. My signal is not aliasing. There is still 1k point for one horizontal division at 100ms/div 'Roll' setting with 10k acqusition memory. Sorry for video and audio quality. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RKfvsVf3ppc&feature=youtu.be Newest 1.36 FW on scope. Is there any hope that they will improve this in the near future? |

I know this is an old thread but it is the one that came up at the top of the list when I did a websearch for "RSPRO oscilloscope firmware". I can confirm that today I successfully updated a RSPRO RSMSO-2202E to version 1.42 using update file FW_GDS-2000E_v1_42.upg from the GW Instek website. The original "RS" splash screen and manufacturer URl "//www.rspro.com" were retained, however I feel RS are giving their customer's a poor service as the URL only links to their site in the hope of selling you more stuff, there is no option to download new firmware or utilities from there, hence unless you are bold enough to assume it is just a re-branded GW Instek model and risk installing the GW Instek firmware you are stuck with any existing bugs or shortcomings. I got the scope for a very good price on an auction site and I am extremely happy with it, but if I had bought it direct from RS at normal price I would feel very let down by their lack of support. Steve. |
