| ISO TECH oscilloscope firmware? |

Hello, Anyone know where I can find firmware for ISO TECH oscilloscopes? IDS-2000 series. Manufacturere website has nothing. The scopes do look identical to GWINSTEK offerings. Wonder if the firmware is compatible. Any pointers appreciated. Thanks. |

After a few telephone calls, it would appear that the ISO-TECH brand belongs to Radio Spares. It's one of their own 'in-house' brands. RS technical support told me there are no firmware updates and the products should just work out of the box. So unless you can get firmware to load from a different manufacturer, you're stuck with whatever bugs you find. |

You can always try if you experience bugs. If you have not bought the scope yet then it is probably better to buy the original from GW Instek. |
| Discotech:
You should be able to flash the Instek firmware onto an ISO-Tech scope as the only thing in house is the change of label from GW Instek to Iso-Tech (now RSPro) You do however run the risk of bricking your scope if it fails so it depends if whatever issue you're having with current firmware is worth the risk |

There may be workarounds that are less drastic than installing another manufacturer's firmware. |
