Title: ITECH IT6300 Power Supply
Post by: kgrammatis on November 29, 2015, 09:13:33 pm
I've been looking into purchasing a small form factor (limited bench space) 3 channel PSU for under $500.  The ITECH 6300 line of power supplies may meet those needs and was wondering if anyone has had any experience with them?

Take a look: http://www.itechate.com/en/product/conter71.htm (http://www.itechate.com/en/product/conter71.htm)

The IT6332A seems fantastic.  It has three channels and seems to output 195 watts although I could be reading it wrong and it could actually be 375 watts.

ch1: 0-5V   @ 3A
ch2: 0-60V @ 6A
ch3: 0-60V @ 6A

Here's the datasheet: http://www.itechate.com/Upload/File/20150806090744.pdf (http://www.itechate.com/Upload/File/20150806090744.pdf)

I e-mailed the manufacturer but haven't found a price quite yet, but I found a similar lesser powered model the IT6302 for $316 on aliexpress which gives me hope that I might be able to land this unit for less than $500.  Here's a link:

Has anyone had any experience with an ITECH? Would you recommend them? I know they are owned by BK precision and many BK precision devices are actually ITECH From what I've read many other manufacturers may use them as well.  The Kiethley 2231A seem to be quite similar to the Itech IT6300 family of PSU's, just with a different button configuration.  Could it be an ITECH? http://www.tek.com/sites/tek.com/files/media/media/resources/2231A%20PowerSupply_DataSheet_0.pdf (http://www.tek.com/sites/tek.com/files/media/media/resources/2231A%20PowerSupply_DataSheet_0.pdf)

How did you get on with this power supply, it looks like what I want. By my arithmetic, 60*6 + 60*6 + 5*3 = 735W. If it is any less, then the full truth isn't being told somewhere. I have looking for a dual 60V 5A or 3A power supply for over a year, but the only ones I see (excepting the big boys) have specifications that are full of porkies. You have pointed the typical one. You see "Dual 60Volt 6A power supply!". In fact it turn out to be a dual 30V 3A psu, which you can series for 60V **OR** parallel for 6A. I am finding this with almost everything I look at. Please shout if you know a true dual 6V 5A psu, ie 360W + 360W = 720W.
