| JBC 2010 cartridge availability? |

I have recently acquired a JBC Advanced AD 2000 soldering station. I believe it was junked as it is a discontinued model. Does anyone know of a source of original or compatible cartridges (tips) for the 2010 handpiece? It currently has a 2010-001 tip which is on the way out. Thanks in advance. |

http://www.jbctools.com/pdf/manual_AD2000.pdf 2210 and C210 cartridges are compatible, so units like the JBC AD 2700 can use current C210 cartridges with it's original 2210 handpiece, but it looks like the 2010 handpiece compatibility wasn't carried forward, dropped. Only recourse would probably be diminishing old stock on Ebay. |

Thanks staxquad. Searches on Ebay have been fruitless so far, so I turned here. I will keep looking. |

The 2010 are out of production for several years now. Don't know if someone still has cartridges on stock. The nice thing about them was that the whole handpiece was shorter and lighter than the new C210 (was called 2210 when it came out). I remember that there was a hack available, modifying the wiring in the AD2000 station. With it you could connect C210 and C245 handpieces and their cartridges. But unfortunately I don't have the docs anymore which wires... |

Thanks electronic_eel. I hope that this hack comes to light as the 2210 handpiece is reasonably priced. |
