JBC AD 2000 modify for using new T245 handpieces
« on: September 10, 2019, 07:30:31 am »
Hi to all!

I own a great JBC AD2000 solder station, I have two old handpiece but as you probably know, there are no more spare cartdriges available, so when I will broke all my spares, there is no possibility to use this great station anymore. I know that a german guy https://www.mikrocontroller.net/topic/254049 modified the AD 2000 to use the newer T245 handpiece with a selector.  Of course I tried to contact that german guy but maybe he don't read that forum anymore.

I ask you if someone know how to do the modify it since I bought also a T245 handpiece with both C245 and C470 cartdriges.

Consider that if I plug the T245 into the station it only gets moderately warm and doesn't melt solder, I think that maybe only two wires of the thermocouple must be inverted but I want to know that for sure in order to not destroy anything.

Thank you in advance!
