Absolutely no details by the looks of it, just a "it'll change the world" type vibe  ::)

Had never heard of them before:

Going to bed, but a real quick look through their existing line up of meters, I see a lot of branded APPA tech meters (the overhang rotary switch/knob gives it away).

Yep, noticed tat too. The pocket meter and several others are certainly existing APPA meter rebadged.

Dude, you haven't even grasped the concept of this totally new out of this world technology that will change the future of DMM's forever!

Or maybe just a weird way to hype a meter that we have never heard of.  :-//

I just umm hmm  :=\
Gone for good

HT Italia have been making electrical test equipment for a long time.  It's far more complex test gear than multimeters, so they should have the technical skill to build a good multimeter.

However: electrical test equipment tends to be fairly half-baked in some ways.  There is no real 'standard' way to do something, just various standards setting out what must be tested with no real guidance on what approach is advisable.

An example would be Fluke's test equipment, with hidden menu settings that the end-user is not necessarily even aware of.  We get probably half of the Fluke stuff sent in with inappropriate settings – but the plus side is that once we change them they'll likely stay changed (unless a button is inadvertently depressed on power-up).

So a lot depends on if they decide to ignore the norms for multimeters, or if they approach it as adding on to existing best practice.

It's got fake approvals, nothing formal beyond "This product conforms to the prescriptions of the European directive on low voltage 2014/35/EU and to EMC directive 2014/30/EU"

Does it have 61010? No, it is self declared CE as:
"Has been manufactured to the technical specifications of the product and conforms in all respects to the relevant standards regulations in force and especially to:
Sicurezza: Safety:
IEC/EN 61010-1 IEC/EN 61010-1
Isolamento: double insulation

Hurrah it's got double insulation LOL  :-DD

The manual tries to spam it as "Reference guidelines: Safety : IEC/EN61010-1 EMC : IEC/EN61326-1" and "The instrument has been designed in compliance with directive IEC/EN61010-1 relevant to electronic measuring instruments."

Hey put out the 61010 compliance certificate if you're touting these to be used by electricians. "Designed to" doesn't cut it.

RS rebrand APPA as "RS Pro".  Not sure what makes them "Pro".

I thought the Jupiter has a lot of unique features.   Interesting we were recently discussing measuring AC fault current and line impedance.   I have a meter that can do this but it's not something for electronics work.

A few days ago, someone sold an HT8100 on eBay in Australia, unfortunately the price exceeded my budget......

Won't a Duspol do that ?

That would be 2 leads (possibly quicker though). Read the manual as it's all rather well done.

Will it play music files while one is performing measurements?

Because it is an electrician's meter ability to measure fault currents and such,  it would be fun to play with it and see how it compares with my own meter.  I downloaded and had a look at the manual.  There's not a lot of details in there.     I had posted some data using mine to measure the outlets in my home and where I work to get a higher fault current.  But mine is limited to CAT II.   You can set the load current for impedance measurements but I didn't see with this meter where you can set that or even what they are using.    About the best I could do is compare it against the meter I have.     Well, that and pull the thing apart, then transient test it to failure.  It better handle some small transients.

Looks like $650 would cover it.

"non-trip" testing and the datasheet specifies 15mA and 100mA modes, so only 0.1 ohm resolution 5% + 0.3 ohm accuracy.
