Keisoku LN-300A-G7 control over USB
« on: December 08, 2016, 05:49:59 pm »
Does anybody have experience with the Keisoku LN-300A-G7 electronic load?

It has a USB port and comes with a Labview based Windows GUI which can control the Instrument. But I'd like to control it as part of some lab automation routines with python (pyvisa)

Documentation is pretty much not existent for non-Japanese(?) speakers.

It does not follow any standard like SCPI or IVI or USBTMC:/

I can connect to it with pyvisa (it's a USB RAW device). And I can also query the '*IDN?' Command and get the device identification string, so basic communication works. But that's about it, no other commands that the SCPI standard specifies for this device class (electronic load) is understood.

Did you try to log the commands from program you mentioned in NI MAX?
