I just bought a Keithley 177 from the US for use in Japan. I was looking at a picture of the back and realised that it says 105-125V. Can someone give me an idea of the consequences of running it on 100V (50Hz in East Japan)?
And yes, I can rant about the irritating voltage levels and different frequencies depending on whether you're in East or West Japan... from the UK so I expect a kettle to boil before the warranty expires!
Anyway, any pointers greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Mike

1. What is a Keithley 117?
(Picture please)
2. You should be fine in Japan with 100V, I have sent many old Keithley instruments to Japan and all worked perfectly alright with the USA settings of 110V

Sorry, typo (corrected now). 177, of course.

The old Keithley 177 will work perfectly in Japan, no worries.

Thanks HighVoltage - Good to have a definitive answer!

You might be able to find it in your deleted files. If it's not there, try asking the person who shared it with you.
