Looking for a Wavetek model 90 maintenance/service manual
« on: June 09, 2014, 08:02:16 am »
I am attempting to repair a Wavetek Model 90 function generator and could not find the manual anywhere.
Even the ones i found advertised on Ebay for a ridiculous price (~100$ incl. shipping) are for a model 95...
Tried to contact Fluke as well, no luck yet.

Any help would be appreciated!

thanks,
Ran

Well funny enough I'm in the same boat as you... Mine supposed to be working but have received it. I did track down the model 90 manuals and just ordered it... I found it here: http://ridgeequipment.com/store/manuals/detail.php?id=17458 --- Just ordered tonight and should have it in a few...

Good luck,

Rich

I don't know if you're still looking for the Wavetek 90 manual. I haven't been able to find one either, but what I have found is that there are a lot of similarities between the Wavetek 90 and Wavetek 288. The manual for the Wavetek 288 is available online.

A common problem that I have found in the 288 and the 90 is that relays tend to go bad, which causes calibration errors. The relays don't fail completely, but the contact resistance will be >3 ohms, instead of being close to zero.
