Keithley 2000 DMM Matlab mdd

I just acquired one of these puppies. I would like to connect it with the Matlab and log the data for the analysis. I am bit confused about ways to connect it to Instrument control toolbox. While some of the manufacturers are providing readily available mdd files for their equipment, Keithley 2000 is not one of them. At least I can’t find one.

Does anyone have experience with data logging from Matlab? Is it just the case of sending SCPI commands over rs232 or do I need the mdd file? Also does anyone have one for the 2000?
