Title: Keithley 2302/2306 PC Control Software????.........
Post by: Smokey on July 09, 2022, 01:40:43 am
I picked up a Keithley 2306 from the ebay.  Advertised as "powers up, no display".  I ordered one of the remote display kits, but it hasn't come yet.  Further troubleshooting to come...

But the question of the day is, given this thing only has GPIB.... What PC side software is used to control it?

Does Keithley/Tek provide a GUI, or do they expect you to make something in labview?

The Kickstart program only lists 2306-LAN, not GPIB: https://www.tek.com/en/products/keithley/keithley-control-software-bench-instruments/kickstart (https://www.tek.com/en/products/keithley/keithley-control-software-bench-instruments/kickstart)

What do you guys use for PC side control of something like the 2302/2306?

You might be able to make a definition for TestController that can control and log from it.
For GPIB interface the AR488 is the best option, TestController do not support that many GPIB interfaces.

Does anyone have the installer for Keithley Kickstart software from before they started charging so much for it?  My equipment is all old so I don't need the newest stuff anyway.
