Amphenol 31-320 RG58 BNC's and RG-400 Cable
« on: September 28, 2020, 08:02:59 pm »
I bought 25 feet of RG-400 cable and a used Amp Pro Crimper II with a .068/.213/.255 die.

Can the Amphenol 31-320 RG58 BNC ends be used for the RG-400?

https://www.digikey.com/product-detail/en/amphenol-rf/31-320/ARF1039-ND/80127

I found several deals on Ebay for these for the fraction of the cost from Digi-Key.

Thank you  :-+

**Update** I just went over the drawings for the Amphenol 31-320 BNC and the crimping ferrule's I.D. is too small for the RG-400.

Instead, I purchased the correct Amphenol 000-36875 BNC's at $4 each.

It seems that the same sized "body" is used in several Amphenol BNC versions but the ferrules are of different diameters.
