Hi,

Don't worry, in May, Danaher announced that it is going to split into two separate companies:

Very similar Agilent / Keysight the T&M part will be spun-off.

This is expected to complete by the end of 2016.

This looks like they've done a "redundant" employee reduction and put Keithley under Tek's administrative structure.  It's all part of the corporate death spiral.  Holding companies like Danaher overburden a company with reporting and overhead, while milking it for all its worth, then punish the employees for the imposed inefficiencies by rightsizing them into unemployment.

It's called the "Danaher Business System"

Sounds like they are being put under one name and management structure now, instead of (mostly) two independent companies as they have been.

Yup.  And it's an OK way to milk a company with a very mature, static product like bearings for all it's worth.  It's a horrible system for anything that requires constant innovation.
