I received yesterday from Keysight France a new firmware to fix the bug that I described in the following topic.

This new firmware is not yet released on Keysight web site (still under final tests according Keysight France, but should be released very soon now).
I installed this new firmware, and can confirm that the LFR bug is fixed.
Beside that, i have not seen any new features or improvements.
If you are really annoyed by this bug, and want to apply the new firmware, please send me a PM, and I will send you a link to the file.

You are right. I didn't check since I already received it from Keysight France, and have it running since June 24th.
The way they are updating their web site looks funny ... Seems that one is in charge of changing the title, one the release notes and finally one adding the latest firmware ...!
Here is a link to the firmware that I received from Keysight:

According to them, this release was the final one.
You have the choice. Install this one, or wait until the Keysight web site is finally fully updated ...

Thanks for letting us know.
I just installed FW v2.09 on my three 34461A and my 34470A and all worked very well.
This update just fixed the one critical issue.
Hopefully the next update will include some new features as well.

I think so, look at the pdf and you will see improvements changing to 2.09

Is this my problem after upgrading or its everybody’s? The continuity is sounding like Mors signals. Having a good contact the beeper is not stable, please hear it.

All my 34461A meters have the same behavior for the continuity test
Also, if you just briefly touch the contacts, you might not get a beep at all.
It seems like they are switching between OHM and BEEP and the delay is too long.
I did report this to Keysight after I upgraded and it was noticed to fix for a new and future FW upgrade.

I think this is more serious than just delay to boot up, which was fixed.
Working with continuity test gives false results, especially if you have some switches or board traces to check.

I gave lots of small suggestions to Keysight for a future FW upgrade with new features.
But they said it might be a while, before a new FW will comes out, because they are working on the FW for other new instruments now.
I am using a 34401A, if I need to do a continuity test.

Interesting.... I just tried the continuity test on my 34465A (with 2.09), and it does NOT have this morse-problem.
Isn't it the same firmware in both 34461A and 34465A?

The firmware is the same but the hardware is different.
My 34470A also does NOT have this problem and works well continuity test.

Will they bother to fix it, only for the 34461A?
