Kikusui 5121A Alignment Scope
« on: September 02, 2016, 02:19:40 am »
We have been clearing a relatives outbuildings and stumbled across 2 Kikusui 5121A Alignment Scope's (see the attached image) we know that's what they are as it says it on the front, but that's all we know about them.

Would anyone be able to shed any light onto what they where used for? and are they basically just an oscilloscope or will they only function for a specific purpose? I don't wanna just go using one to probe stuff and have anything bad happen coz it's not intended as an ordinary scope

It's not an ordinary scope.

It's a general purpose display, with very low bandwidth (10kHz).

Here's the operator's manual:  http://www.kikusui.co.jp/kiku_manuals/NUMERIC/5121A_E.pdf
