I own, what the label reads anyway, a Leader LV-76A VTVM. It really seems like a quality meter and is very accurate for an analog machine. I spent some time adding an internal fuse, new power cord, and basically cleaned and calibrated it. I was able to find a manual for the LV-76B, but only the schematic for the LV-76A. This is where a mystery has unfolded. The -A model schematic, which matches the label on the front of my meter, only has two tubes. The -B model has an extra 6AL5, or three tubes. My -A model meter has three tubes! What? That doesn’t match the schematic for -A model.
Does anyone own a -B or -A model and notice the discrepancy with the manual?
