Does anybody here have a Lecroy 12bit scope? https://youtu.be/QvLHMzSlty4 I have specificaly HDO 4000 series in mind, but they also have same front end and adc in HDO 6000 and 8000.Watch the youtube video ftom 20:45
In the 4000 series there are two versions, the older version is just 4000 and newer is 4000 A.I watched 3 year old video from KF5OB on youtube where he does hdo 4000 teardown.Near the end of the video he mentions the lack of internal shielding and that he can see some 125MHz crap from unshielded oscillator, also he says he can see 375MHz harmonic on all 4 channels.
Does anybody have hdo 4000,the newer or older versions? I would love to if you could tell me about its performance.
1. What is the minimum resolution bandwidth in the spectrum analyser mode?
2. What is the lowest noise floor you can achieve in the spectrum analyser?
3. Is the noise floor flat or does it significantly deviate from flat line in some parts of spectrum?
4.How is the spurious free dynamic range? What is the tallest tone sticking out?
5. Do you have signal gen? Can you sweep frequency and make video to see where the spurious tones appear?
