Hi all,

I have a Rigol DS1102D purchased in 2012, currently running firmware 00.02.06 (confirmed via Utility > System Info). Modules installed: FFT, USB, P/F, RS232.

I've seen an official Rigol upgrade procedure document stating that upgrading is unsafe below a certain version threshold (mentioned as "02.04") and could seriously damage the unit if attempted incorrectly. I'm not sure if that threshold applies to my exact numbering scheme (00.02.06) or refers to a different model/versioning convention.

Before I risk bricking a perfectly working scope, I'd appreciate input from anyone who:

Has updated a DS1102D from a similarly old firmware version (00.02.xx)
Knows whether a direct jump to the latest firmware is safe, or if intermediate steps are required
Can point me to a verified .RGL file with MD5 checksum for this specific upgrade path

Thanks in advance for any pointers — trying to be careful here rather than sorry.

Javier
