LeCroy T2 USB analyzer driver issue under Win10
« on: October 15, 2020, 03:34:28 am »
Since some random Windows updates, my T2 analyzer stopped working with an error 39 "bad image", and after inspecting the sys file it has a date code of 1998, so I wonder if some newer Win10 kernel update has broke backward compatibility of the USB subsystem -- my Fluke 190-II also stopped working with its previously working Win7 driver.

Since MSFT mandates upgrade, resisting Windows is not an option -- none of the software work under Linux anyway, and I'm not able to install Windows 7 on newer machines anymore.

So, is there a solution other than running a Windows VM just for running a piece of Windows software on Windows :horse:? Is there anyone having a beta version of the latest driver from LeCroy? I'm sure they have software QC team to test compatibility with every new OS release.

Huh, I successfully ran my Mercury T2 on Win10 latest just last weekend. When I get home I'll dig up versions so we can be specific.

I just plugged in my T2C, opened USB Protocol Suite, and it worked. Details:
