LeCroy WaveAce 224 USB Port Bad
« on: August 08, 2019, 11:18:55 pm »
Today, I was doing some screen captures on my WaveAce 224 (saving screens to the attached USB thumb drive).  I saved several screens and moved the thumb drive to a PC to copy the snapshots. I moved the thumb drive back to the 224 but it did not recognize the drive.  I tried several other drives and they were not recognized either.  I assume that the USB port is blown.  All other scope functions appear to work OK.  Is there anything else that I can check?  I also did a factory reset and the box has the latest Lecroy firmware (about 4 years old).  I am going to keep the 224 powered down overnight and will test again with the USB port.  Looks like I will be buying a new DSO.

Regards
Clint

First thing I’d check is the sockets solder joints to the PCB.
