LeCroy WaveAce 234
Aldo22:
I have asked the seller again.
The unit comes with 4 LeCroy PP016 300MHz probes.
These alone cost at least $150 each (new)!
I have no idea how much to bid anymore.
Intuitively, I didn't want to go over 200 CHF.
The oscilloscope once had great specs, but memory and screen resolution etc. are really out of date.
The highest bid is now already at 190 CHF.
I think I'll let it go and save up for a Rigol DHO800. 8)

Why not, but LeCroy continues on selling rebranded Siglent instruments till today.

You can find similar probes for much less.
My personal rule is not to buy used general purpose probes as nobody gives their good probes away. I treat used probes as someone else's underwear; throw them away. I'm not going to wear that as I don't know what has happened to it!

I know this.
They'd stopped the (cheap) rebranding thing before cooperating with siglent later on.
We've talked about a couple of years ago, by the visit of the (now retired) salesman, he showed us the brandnew Lecroy WS3000 ( without Z)..... ;)

No. The Waveace and WS3000 are Siglent scopes. Just with dreadfull buggy firmware. Back then I bought the first function generator made by Siglent. I ran Lecroy's firmware on it because that had all the functions that didn't work or caused problems cut out. Nowadays you can buy a function generator from Feeltech or Uni-T that works better.
