I saw a Teledyne LeCroy WaveAce 234 on an auction platform. The starting price is quite low. Unfortunately, I have not found any information about this specific model on this forum. WaveAce is generally described rather as "crap", from what I've seen. Of course, it is not a very modern scope, with for example 320 x 240 px screen resolution. On the other hand, it does have impressive specifications: 4-channel, 300MHz bandwith, 2 GS/s sampling rate, rise time 1.2ns etc. My question: How "crap" is it really and how much should one pay for it at most today? Looks like early 5" display SDS1000CFL, not L = 7" display. https://int.siglent.com/products-overview/sds1000cfl/ Tiny mem depth = limited usefulness. |

Hi, A regional salesman from lecroy told us once, that offering the WaveAce models was one of their biggest failure they ever made. ;) |

Thank you all! --- Quote from: tautech on August 24, 2023, 09:03:47 am ---Tiny mem depth = limited usefulness. --- End quote --- Memory Length: 10 kpts/Ch Maximum Memory (Interleaved): 20 kpts It's clear that this is not a top of the line device by today's standards, but everything has a price (which?). At the moment the auction price is lower than a ZEEWEII DSO1511G costs. ;) |
