Lecroy WaveSurfer 424 Hardware Upgrade
« on: March 25, 2023, 03:26:42 pm »
Hi all,  have a nice day.

I have a WS424.

This one is old so I wanted to upgrade it: find a motherboard and put it all back in place and it should work fine.  But no, things are not as I thought, when I try to plug this PCI card into the new motherboard it can't start, the fan doesn't spin, doesn't do anything.  I thought the PCI cards were damaged but when I put them back in the old motherboard it worked fine.  I don't know where to start.  Has anyone tried the motherboard upgrade on this series?  Can you guide me?  The motherboard I am trying to upgrade is socket 775. Thanks for your help.  Wishing everyone a nice day.
Sincerely

hi,
did you used the old HDD? or the mobo wont even boot?
by any chance can you do an immage of your HDD? i have same scope but HDD has bad sectors and cannot do a fresh installation (suspect the mobo is broken).
many thanks
