I'm planning on doing a TFT conversion for the SMIQ I have here and I'm wondering what is missing from the display-less SMIQs you have. This will be a long term plan though but maybe I can turn this into a product. --- End quote --- If you need more, let me know. Or, feel free to drop by ;) |

Yeah, another boring handheld DMM. For $100 (which is what it sells for around here) this is a mediocre example of the art; however, when you stumble upon a mint example in a pawn shop for $30 with case and leads, not so bad. I checked it with my voltage and resistance "standards" and it's acceptably close; something to keep in my travel kit when helping out a friend or shopping for higher end stuff. ;) It also has low-Z mode, a 40 mΩ range, relative, min/max, µA and separate low/high current jacks, which is decent for a cheapie. |

I'm interested in what is inside the front panel model (where the display and the buttons are). |

Can you remove the CPU board to take a picture of what is underneath it? |
