Teardown Beta 1760DGT Digital Multimeter
« on: January 14, 2017, 09:03:02 am »
Hi everyone,

I'm Hayder from IRAQ, and I'm new to this forum... this is my first post.

I'm Really interesting about the topics of this forum and EEVBlog channel in YouTube,

I really like the idea of Teardown DDM, I'm interesting in Embedded system and PCB design and also I'm thinking in making Open Source DMM in future maybe.
I'd like to share with you in my first post some photo of Teardown Beta Multimeter, I's not my device, it for my father, and I stole it to make the Teardown with out his permission  ;D, maybe I'll tell him later ;)
the price of this device is about 282 $ in amazon,

Beta 1760DGT Digital Multimeter

Link from Amazon Below
https://www.amazon.com/Beta-Tools-17600005-1760DGT-Multimeter/dp/B001ODPEFS/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1484382825&sr=8-1&keywords=Beta+1760+DGT

after what the video of EEVBlog and read the thread in this forum I learn little things about how to determine if Multimeter quality made and worth the price or not?

I really want to read your opinion about the device since there is no review or video for this DMM.

Photos in attachments also.

Kind Regards

I's pretty bad. Cheap PCB, glass fuses, no precision voltage divider. And WTF happened to R4?

Considering that for less than half the price, you can get a Brymen BM319s, or much better, for the same price a used Fluke 88, I definitely wouldn't recommend it.
