Looking for a multimeter with waveformdisplay(scope?)

Hi All,
This is my first post I am a old viewer of EEVblog youtube channel.

I am looking for something which can display waveforms.

The device will be used mostly to test UPS output in India(230V 50Hz) and a few Arduino based hobby projects. Not high precision is required only to  measure so-called cheap sinewave UPSs out there.

Budget is around Rs.14000(US $230). I searched around a little bit and came across UNI-T UT81B Scopemeter.

Please suggest. Thanks for your time.

If you want it to be portable and also act as a multimeter then a handheld scopemeter is probably your only option and good makes like Fluke are very expensive.
Hantek do one but even that is probably a bit more than $230 (it is around £250 in the UK I think) - perhaps Google scopemeter to find some reviews.


If you're testing the UPS at your bench and you have a bit of space then perhaps getting a second hand and cheap analogue scope along with a separate DMM might be a better solution.

I doubt that UT81B can show UPS switch process: switchover time, overshoot.
