Looking for replacement HP 8662A button
« on: October 01, 2023, 08:50:27 pm »
I've got an 8662A that works perfectly (still in spec even) except for a missing button. The Span Freq button is a 0.5" square, dark gray button. Looks like the internals are there, just missing the button cap. Anyone have a source for these? I'd settle for something that's the right size with the wrong label (Start Freq, End Freq, etc.). Willing to pay a reasonable price if you've got one. I'm not interested in buying another parts unit just for a button. :)

You might be better off just creating a 3D model and printing the cap again - If the piece that is heat staked is still okay then people have reported good results with replacing the spring metal with a piece of feeler gauge.

Check out the HPAK group and search for Bill West Switch - https://groups.io/g/HP-Agilent-Keysight-equipment
