There used to be one or two of these available - fixed frequency oscillator boards with low distortion at a very reasonable price. Some were kits and some were pre-stuffed boards ready to go into your own enclosure.
I'm on the hunt for one and it seems they may have gone the way of the dodo bird; I can't really find any! Are you aware of one that I might have missed?
To clarify, 'low distortion' to me means well under 0.1% THD. The kits I can currently find are specified at this value and I'd like to do better (or even MUCH better) if possible. Thanks.

Vicnic is the fellow who has the 0.001% oscillators (proven) available.
He says--send him a PM.

Thank you! I've sent him a PM.

Three nice low-distortion options are:
- Viktors pre-built oscillator
- Janascard project
- Frex project

Frex's design is based on App Note 67 from Linear. You can find it here: http://cds.linear.com/docs/en/application-note/an67f.pdf (http://cds.linear.com/docs/en/application-note/an67f.pdf) page 62.

That link is broken with the comma at the end of it by the look of it. Here it is:

A great read.
Edited: I've fixed my link as well now! Sorry about that!

trys, for some reason your repaste also has a comma at the end of the actual link URL (not being shown). You can see it when hovering the mouse over.

Sorry about that. It's fixed now.

I was also on the hunt for Victor's oscillator. I had just missed one on ebay, so set up a search, and had to wait over 6 months for another one to appear. I got the 1 kHz model. I measure mine at <= 0.00008% (0.8 ppm) THD on my Panny VP-7722, but that is the measurement floor of that instrument, so it is not a meaningful measurement. The actual THD is lower. It's a nice little unit to have. Get one while you can; the superb National opamp he designed into it is now out of production (the fab was closed).

I was given a price and availability of the oscillator by sending him a PM. The prices will depend on other factors, such as what country you are in.
