low frequency AC coupling box BNC?
(1/1)
coppercone2:
I want to buy a AC coupler box. like a little box with BNC connectors and some caps in it. Like a thru.
Any part # ?
I mean like a nice small metal one I can stick on a shitty function gen that has a DC offset that is messing with stuff.
I can make one with a pomona box. But I was hoping there is some part# that can be cheap on ebay (random accessory)

Spectrum analyzers often use DC blocks. I imagine you can find those for affordable prices, although the cut off frequency may be too high (you don't specify low frequency).
You'd have to find an instrument that uses these as accessories so they are made in large quantities. Maybe for audio?

yeah I meant a low frequency one, I excluded DC blocks because I associate that with at least MHz signals.
I kind of wonder how 2x wet tantalum capacitor would work in a high value one. That might even work for coupling an amplifier to a higher power load. The leakage is really low.. might work?
