Hello ,

 Currently i have a Victor VC97 Multimeter and a UNI-T Clamp meter (I don't remember the model ).

I have several projects opportunities ( eventually i will get at-least one of them if not 2) which require better test equipment.

Currently if i convert the price to USD, these are my local shop prices :

 1) Sanwa PC7000  >> 385$
 2) Hioki DT4282     >>  382$
 3) HioKi DT4281     >>  359$
 4) Kyoritsu KEW1062 >> 359$
 5) Brymen  869S  >> 300$ (I have to buy it from tme, after shipping and import tax,...etc)

If i consider the precision (which is my primary point) ,i think DT4282/4281 is the overall winner. But if i consider durability too i'm not completely sure.(i will need some field work). The precision of KEW1062 is good enough for me.

At my current full time work, we have several Hioki & Kyoritsu products and overall the Kyoritsu products work really well  ( These products are really abused in the work and even after 6~7 years, they pass the yearly calibration test easily), BTW Hioki products are OK too but they work load is not High like Kyorisu in our workplace (more like using them in a lab).

After sale Support : The Japanese brands have local support but for the brymen i think i have to return it to tme in case of any issue.

So i think my final selection will be between Hioki (4282) and Kyoristu , but please share your opinion about it.

BTW, i can't go with Fluke or Gossen or Keysight, as  they are considered premium brands in my country and their price is out of my budget! (for example a fluke 87V is around 700$!)

About the budget : I really like to keep it under 400$. ( BTW, if i buy anything aboard, their price will increase between 25% .. 40% for me, because of shipping, import tax ,...etc),

Thank you in advance for sharing your experience & thoughts!

I have a Hioki DT4281 if you have any specific questions. Overall, it is an extremely responsive meter in day to day use and I like it a lot, but in return you pay for its performance in battery life with only 100 hours on 4xAA!

That Kyoritsu might be a rebrand of the Yokogawa TY720, there is a review somewhere on YouTube....it seems a little bit clunky IMO.

I second the comment of the Kyoritsu being a bit clunky. The Iwatsu meter I have teared down here ...

... has a terrible display and some other shortcomings, and is also a rebrand of the Yokogawa meter. Got the Hioki and later a Fluke 87V instead after returning the Iwatsu.

Hello,

Thank you for your comments.

It seems that Hioki DT4281/4282 is the winner.

I'll search more specially about sanwa and see if there is more info about it.
