Hi, I've picked up for cheap a "for parts/repair" Interstate Electronics Corp. High Voltage Log-In Sweep Generator F-47. This model was also sold under the Racal-Dana brand name. I'm looking for the service manual/schematics. I've been unable to find them on the web and though one of you might be able to help. Thanks if you can! Here's a pic:

I have the same unit, and would love to get a schematic, user manual, or service manual.
The board is very detailed. Obviously made for repair.

I never did find a free on-line source for the F47 manual. I ended up buying a scanned copy from Artek Manuals (www.artekmanuals.com (http://www.artekmanuals.com)) The scan quality was excellent - particularly on the schematics. The price was also very reasonable - $12.50 I think. I've bought from them several times and for me the cost is worth it just for the clean, hi-res scans of the schematics.
I have no relationship other than a satisfied customer.

So did you get it working?
I have the F43, non-sweep version, and it's a real workhorse. Had to fix it once, without schematic. Replaced the output transistors and all is now working fine.
It was a little hard to find the correct replacement transistors. Finally got them from UTSource. I did put some heatsinks on some other transistors on the board that were running hot.

I did get it working. My unit had an air dielectric variable capacitor that was physically broken. Once I found a suitable replacement, it was working fine. I used the manual to verify operation and follow the calibration procedure. I sold it soon after that. At the time I thought it was too large and heavy for my small lab. Of course, now I have plenty of space and I wish I had it back! :-//
