Marconi 2024 Signal Generator power supply pin outs

I have a Marconi 2024 Signal Generator that has a bad power supply. I need to know what the voltages are for the connector on the supply. I plan on using another supply and want to connect everything up correctly.

I have replaced a resistor, R2 since it was open but it may take me a while to find all of the issues with the old supply so I will use another power supply.  I have the schematics of the 2024 but it don't show the voltage values for the connections.

Any schematic of this HV160-47 supply would be appreciated.

Thanks
Dwight

Taken from page 83 of IRF service manual - Issue 3 - 8-Sep-98. Hopefully, V1-V4 aligns with the legend on the PCB.

Thanks a lot. That got me in the right direction.

There are at least two versions of the service manual on the web  - it's probably worthwhile seraching-out all versions - there are slight differences. Search for IRF 2023/2024 too.

Also, there's a google-groups for Marconi instruments:

Hi

Please be aware that there was at least five different vendors power supplies used in the 2023/2025 series and that they did not all use the same type of output pins, some used screw terminals.

The supply that you have is a Lambda-Coutant unit.  Invariably the four 100uf 250VDC main bulk storage capacitors fail and this results in multiple problems within the supply.  If it is used on 230VAC and even more nasty failure can occur.  This supply is auto 115VAC or 230VAC switching, when used on 230VAC a brown out can cause it to switch to 115VAC but not switch back for 230VAC when the brown out ceases.  They don’t like 230VAC when in 115VAC mode and quit with extreme prejudice.

With the exception of the output pins, which are screw terminals, the MW RQ-125D is a physical and electrical direct drop in replacement.

When replacing the power supply please make certain the +5VDC supply is set to 5.2VDC to allow for internal voltage drops in the 2023/2025, other wise the CPU can have a mental break down.
