marconi 2031 battery
« on: October 18, 2023, 05:40:50 pm »
I want to buy a new rtc battery for my marconi 2031 but the manual just says a lithium battery, can any one tell me if its a rechargeable or non rechargeable one ie a 18650 3.7v lithium.Sorry about the basic question but the sig gen is buried under a lot of gear and I only want to get it out once to change the battery. ::)

Generally a non rechargeable one, with diodes or a power management IC to power the SRAM and a RTC if used, and provide the write protect and CE logic needed to put the RAM in a low power state when power is off.

You can use a rechargeable one, but will need to have a method to charge it separately.
