Title: MATRIX MPS-3005L-3 Power supply

Hi.

I would like to ask about the source MPS-3005L-3 from Matrix. Does anyone have experience with it? Would you recommend it? I have I have a chance to buy used source (5 years old) for half the price. I'm not sure if I would buy wrong? What if he leaves me soon?

Well, what do you want to know? These are generic type bench power supplies with mediocre build quality. I have two of these supplies and they are what they are, they are also easy to fix/mod.

If you want to buy a used one at half price make sure the transformer is toroidal and be prepared to re-cap each channel board with high quality/low ESR caps (I did it once I got it new).
