I think I am on a unicorn hunt !
The SainSmart pocket 'scopes (DSO211, DSO212, DSO213) aren't bad to automotive diagnostic. Various inductive device give some pretty serious back EMF which may not be clamped until a voltage higher than those little 'scopes can handle.
Does any one make an inline MCX 10x attenuator ? Best would have a 6" pigtail with MCX male connector on one end and a 6" pigtail BNC male.

I don't know of MCX versions, but SMA versions are fairly plentiful and BNC 10dB attenuators are fairly available too. I'd look for a combination of an MCX to SMA/BNC adapter and then one of the more standard attenuator formats.
I do see one minicircuits MCX attenuator on ebay, only 4dB though, so they are probably available as custom order from them, but I imagine not cheaply.
