I'm looking at the differential probe MDP3000 specification and I see that the max input differential voltage at 1000x is 3000V.
However I am puzzled on how this can be reached because the Max voltage to ground is stated at 1000V.
Within those constraints, I imagine the widest that can be measured is -1000V (1000V to ground) and +1000V (1000V to ground).
But this only make 2000V of the 3000V input limit.
How can the full 3000V be measured staying within the max voltage to ground spec?
