scopeman appears to be a legit user, so the scammers probably PM'd him, although not sure why they couldn't keep the scam under wraps? Hopefully scopeman cuts them off, but also informs the admins of the username that contacted him.

Damnit... I should've checked before saying anything :palm:
And now I see that this is a much serious situation than I thought... hope the staff intervene in this.

There was a member by that name but they are not there now. The same goes for the rick email address.
It's the first time ever being scammed in decades of being on-line. Fortunately it was only 50 bucks.
I guess I fell into my normal trusting person mode. I was looking for a Telequipment TO-3/TO-66 fixture for my Telequipment CT-71 and the Christ Hayer PM'd me that his friend had one for sale. Too good to be true so I got burned.
I have looked into reporting the two email addresses and the PayPal one to authorities but from what I have read Google/Gmail does not care. So for me it's a lesson learned. Obviously noting at all was ever delivered.
I am still looking for that fixture and/or detailed pictures of it will the covers on and off.

P.S. I hope someone nails this SOB. The PayPal email address was christabellucky9@gmail.com and the other emails were christyobed3@gmail.com as well as the rickbeckham88@gmail.com

Just hope this doesn't happen again to more unsuspecting people here...
