Metrix ox5042 handscope
« on: October 29, 2024, 01:01:00 pm »
Hi, I have a friend who has to sell a metrix ox5042 oscilloscope, what do you think?
It has 40mhz with 200 euros I think it's not too much.
Has anyone tried it?
Attach user manual
Greetings

does it have self tests,  do you have some signal generator to check inputs ?

HI, I think it has a test point to calibrate the probe. Yes I can try it to see how it works. but for 200 euros is it worth it or should I get something Chinese?

This is not a hobbyist device.
It is certainly quite safe and ISO and whatnot, but the basic specifications are not good by today's standards.

It depends on what YOU need.
If you need isolated channels, logging etc then it may not be expensive.
If you need a more accurate DMM than DC ± (1 % + 20 D) and an oscilloscope with more than 50MS/s, it's too expensive imo.
