Found: Trak Rubidium GPSDO Manuals Wanted
« on: September 13, 2024, 04:27:21 am »
I just got my hands on a Rubidium GPSDO made by Trak, which appears to have been bought by Smithsinterconnect.  I can't find anything on the internet about this thing outside of one or two articles and a brief two page datasheet that doesn't give much information.  I want to figure out how to talk with it over RS232 and/or Ethernet as well as what the specs on the antenna are, since what I can see is that it uses a TNC connector and appears to require an active antenna?
I have it hooked up to my frequency counter right now with no antenna, which means no GPS lock, but it appears very stable at about +/- 0.2 milliHertz

I finally got ahold of Smithsinterconnect through their sales department and they sent me the manual.  I have uploaded it to my question about antennas on the RF section of the forum
