Just got one of these and checking it out.
I have it plugged into a Tek TDS3034C scope's USB socket. The probe appears to power up fine and I checked it with some DC currents its working.
I noted a USB socket on the side of the probe amplifier and thought maybe I could stick my USB thumb drive in there for scope data saves as the probe is taking up the socket on the scope itself.
Put thumb drive in there and scope cannot see it. The spec sheet for the probe only says that said socket is 5v DC output. Does this mean it is not doing anything else other than power pass through so no plugging memory stick in there? So, I would need to plug in a USB hub to the scope directly and the probe and flash stick into sockets from there to get both to work?
