MSO1104 How to get 1GSa/s

I'm a scope noob, so be gentle...

I'm playing around and trying to learn how to use my scope.  There is an Acquire menu which lets me set the Mem Depth and Sa Rate.  Sa Rate always seems to be greyed out, and never exceeds 500MSa/s.  (1 channel on)

Is that the maxium?  Or do I need to be in some special mode to see 1GSa/s?

Solved this myself.  I was in auto trigger mode.  I got the faster sample rate (and full memory depth) when in normal mode.
