Siglent SSA-3021x - What storage case/box have you found?
« on: March 18, 2019, 07:22:18 pm »
I just purchased the Siglent SSA-3021x spectrum analyzer, and it is 16 inches wide.
I roamed around The Container Store and Target but can't find a plastic box or tub
that size to store it in when I am not using it.

What type of hard case or plastic storage tub, or pelican case, or whatever,
have you found that this Siglent unit can be stored in when not in use?

Thanks,

Neal

Siglents bag that fits the SSA and SVA is a good but not overly cheap option and I keep and transport my SSA and SVA in them.

They are well padded and offer good protection while you have them on your person.
I wouldn't ship one in them though.

If you want a hard case like those bird ones, look at SKB cases.
If you want basic storage and transport protection (not shipping), try a flight or catalogue case with some foam for fitting.  Leather, nylon on frame or hardboard.  I've found them to accommodate a remarkable variety of equipment, and easy to sling or hand carry.  Second hand stores or office supply centres.

About three years ago I bought a video camera soft case that would fit at thrift store, cost me $6 and was in great shape.  The older semi-pro camcorders were about the correct size.  If you want a hard case, Amazon occasionally has Pelican cases on sale at quite reasonable prices, but if you go to the Pelican website, find the model that will fit and search ebay, you might get lucky and find one near you.
