MSOX6004A sample rate, memory depth and SCPI
« on: January 09, 2023, 03:02:38 pm »

I am trying to automate capturing something with MSOX6004A and sending commands over socket (5025). I am using channels 1 and 2 (and what I am asking is also valid if I use all four as expected). So the scope has max sample rate is 10GSa/s and memory depth is 2Mpts when all channels are used. So if I calculate this correct, using 200us/div, makes a capture of 2ms, and it should run at 1GSa/s at this division, and I can confirm it works like that when I use the scope manually. But when I initialize everything (starting with *RST) and do a SINGLE or DIGITIZE with SCPI commands, it says the sample rate is 500MSa/s. At this point without changing anything if I press SINGLE button on the scope, then it captures with 1GSa/s as I expect. What could I be missing with SCPI commands affecting this ?
