Multitester TC1 - IR decoding function upgradeable ?
« on: March 09, 2019, 09:42:03 pm »
Hi,

Today a chinese Multitester TC1 has arrived - Nice little thing, including an ir-code testfunction:

Unfortunately, it "knows" only one code, the hitachi ir code…
Much more useful would be the decoding of RC-5 or RESC-80 codes.
Are there a chance to tune this thing up, maybe it already exists a hack for it ?

Martin

Martin, I have the same tester and the same question.  Did you or someone else figure out a way?

I hadn't followed this up, but at the time I had found an RC-5 code tester:

https://www.sprut.de/electronic/pic/projekte/rc5test/index.htm

A very informative website in other respects as well (last updated in 2018, who knows how much longer it will be around).
